Vase is elm, I believe. Mahogany segmented bowl. I did not do the prep, wood was from an estate sale! Third pic is my fiirst green turning… poplar bowl. Triple candle holders are maple, two have trim of metal. Last is a basswood canister with banksia pod handle and toothpick holders.

Cool turnings. I have been thinking about incorporating some metal in some of my turnings but I’m a bit nervous. Any words of wisdom to pass along?

DBoltz….I didn’t incorporate the silver into turning. I used the bands on rolls and applied it after. You’ll need to ask a more experienced turner for tips.
