I made this when my daughter was born 24 yrs. ago. It is still in good shape. I was pretty new to furniture making at the time and some of the joinery is a bit crude but still serving well. I finished with polyurethane. Wouldn’t do that today.

Hi Kipster,

This is a nice dresser and I am sure that you daughter has had a lot of use from it. The tiger maple gives the piece a nice visual appeal. The finish on the piece looks good as well. Poly is a good protective finish that is easy to apply.

Thanks for the post.

Looks good, should last for many more years. Why don’t you like polyurethane?

it’s a nice looking dresser. I’m hoping that my stuff will be around that long!
