I have been working on this style of hinge, attempting to get it as good as I can. These will have to work for now.
I made a tutorial on how I tempted them…HERE

Cool looking hinges. The tutorial was well done, too. Now I’m trying to think of what I could add those hinges to.. :)

That’s really cool! I’m going to have to incorporate that technique into a future project. Thanks for posting this and the tutorial!

Came back to check it out again, and I had a question. At any point is the dowel glued, or is it just snug in there through the whole length?

I just love wood hinges and these look really nice. I have really got to take the time and learn the process of making these myself.

Gabe C. It is a little difficult to glue these, but I rub glue on the end that will go in the hinge last and on the opposite inside of the hinge. It is not the strongest glue job, but for these I don’t believe it needs to be.

Joshuah, You knew I would weigh in here as I’m addicted to wooden hinges and these are very cool. Now I’m off to favorite the build blog. Thanks for posting these.
