These are really three nice boxes. What type of woods did you use for their construction?
I really like the look of the first one the best. The other two are gorgeous as well but there is something about the hexagonal look and the keys along with the wood grain and color that creates a lot of visual interest for me.

the first one is cocobola [ i think! ] and ebony splines. the splines were made with a jig on the tablsaw. the splines in the top go all the way through to help hold it together. the secomd one I dont remember what the wood for the bottom is. the top is white oak with a ebony finial. and the third was a freeby from the lumber guy. its called man made ebony and almost works like layered cardboard. but its pretty! thanks for the kind words all.

That cocobola box is so great! I love the shape and size. You really got tight joinery with the angles like that, it looks like. That is really neat.
