Hi All,
This is a twin size bed I made for my son. It is all red oak with the exception of a koa inlay at the head and the foot of the bed. All the joints on the head and foot are mortise and tenon. The side rails are attached with brackets from wood craft. The finish is poly.
Thanks for taking a look, comments good or bad are always welcome.
Matt

Great job! I like the Koa inlay, nice touch.
I am just about to finish a very similar bed for my toddler’s “big boy bed” as well.

Nice bed, I like it! Looks solid as a rock, too – which I’m sure wasn’t an accident.
Good job!

Thanks all, and yes Helkat it is designed for abuse. First thing he did once the matress was on it was spend 30 min climbing over the foot board and diving. We called it a stress test. The bed passed. :)
