Starts with rough sawn material. Milled to size. cut parts. assembled with screws and glue then plugged.
Couple coats of Thompsons water seal.

Real nice. You have cypress in your area? Check out ready seal online sometime. It’s a real nice outdoor finish.

umbach, Cypress seems to be plentiful in this area. I checked out ready seal already, looks good for adding a little color.

Very nice. Did you design it yourself? How did you achieve the contrast between the slats and the frame members?

Hey Tom.
No this is not my design except as always a little tweaking for comfort reasons.
This project came from back around 2000.
Ive lost count how many I have made.
The contrast I have to admit was purly by accident. It comes from the differance between the 6/4 stock for frame and the 4/4 stock for slats. not every bench looks the same. you should see this bench now, Weathered and Gray.
still looks good.
