That looks great. I really like the way that you arched the openings for the handles.
I am not very familiar with sycamore. What did you use for a finish?

Hi Chuckv,
Sycamore is beautiful wood, but it is very prone to chipping in the planer. The final 1/8” has be done with sanding. I used lynseed oil to bring out the color and finished with poly.
