Hello, This is my first project here on LJ. I have been into woodworking since junior high. I have been lurking here for some time amazed by the projects that are made. Typically I make things as gifts, which leaves the wife frustrated so i decided to surprise here with a valentines gift. I scrounged the maple while working as an apprentice at the Denver bronco stadium in 2000, the trim carpenters were disposing of alot of 8” baseboard. Any way, let me know what you think. Oh it measures 16×8 1/2×3 1/3.

Your wife should be pleased. That is a pretty big box that someone will want to fill!! Nice use of scrounged wood. Welcome to box making.
