Just made this yesterday and finished it today 2/14/2012. It is made of Maple with a Black Linba handle and purpleheart checks. This is the first time I made a box that the lid opens from ths inside. 81/4” X 51/4” X 31/4”.
The finish is Watco.

Nice box Dennis. Great wood!! These type of pin hinges are simple, Right. I almost beat A1Jim to comment on it!.

Very nice and the wood looks great, a lot of character in this box
