This is a Valentines/Anniversary (#5!) gift for my Wife.
It’s such a pain in the neck to dig through thirty or so spices and shuffle through bottles of vanilla, oil, etc..
My solution was 2 lazy suzans and a spice rack. Everything was made from the good-old maple butcher block, I’m getting good mileage out of those boards. I meausred the space and went from there, installing the spice rack with 2 bolts at the top. When the bolts are backed off it puts enough tension to hold everthing in place. The lazy susans are attached with adhesive strips (apt. dwellers best friend)
There is a before/after shot of the cabinet showing how it all came together. Everything went well except the spice rack, the holes are just a little too small for all the spice bottles. I will probably buy bottles that fit and transfer the rest of the spices over.
