After competing in weekly pistol leagues for the past 6 months I decided it was time to build a range box. So this got whipped together on Saturday, had to wait to go to the HW store today to get the lock and fortunately the scope mount showed up today in the mail as well, so it was completed tonight.

It is setup to hold 4 pistols and the tray slides out. Made from leftover maple plywood scraps and walnut to trim out the corners. I cut down a spare piano hinge to fit. Since the plywood is 3/4” it is pretty heavy as far as range boxes go but I know it won’t be moving around once setup on the bench. Now I just need a competition .45 to complete the collection.

Thanks for looking.

Nice! I disagree though…you need to get four new guns now!

Nice! I pondered something like that, even drew up plans, but didn’t do it because of the weight. Mine was going to have the targets, ammo and the cleaning gear in it as well.

Sweet build! Good luck on the range and finding that comp .45!

Hi, I love your gun range box. Do you think you could share the plans?
