My first long-grain cutting board. I wanted to see how it held up compared to end-grain, and I also wasn’t prepared to do an end-grain board of this size. ~25” x 15” x 1.5”
The other side has a juice groove. I used breadboard ends to hopefully keep it flat, and I borrowed the crescent dowel design from patron (hope he doesn’t mind). Finished with mineral oil and wax. Thanks for looking.
PS – The staggered maple pattern and dowels got me thinking of a good present idea for anyone that has some bowling fanatics as friends. Just add a couple more dowels in a triangle shape.

Great looking board. The dowels and ends are a nice touch.

Very nice looking board…I recognized Patron’s trademark right away. You did a good job on it : )
-- When did quiet and quite become the same word ? I'm guessing about the same time as your and you're did.
Have your say...
