This was made for a client who was really into modern and contemporary furniture. It is to function as either a vanity or a laptop desk. This piece was made to match another piece I had previously made for her, it was a wall mounted bookcase above there bed with lights on the bottom and a door the lifts out and up with special (expensive) hardware.

Made of Wenge and Maple. This was the first time I worked with Wenge, it gave me a respiratory infection even when I wore a mask. the drawer is suspended by supports on the outside of the strawier and mounted to the bottom of the top, this is also the drawer runner. It finished up beautifully. I am really into this sculpted joinery right now.
