This project is a candle holder that is made from Mesquite. I began turning it realizing it had a couple exposed worm holes. Once I got through the sap wood I realized the worm holes were much deeper than I realized. I went a head and continued and as can be seen from the photos the worm holes give the piece much character. There is one worm hole that is actually a tunned through the piece. This was finished with clear lacquer spray.

Very cool lookng candle holder, love the wood color and finish. It does have unique character. Very nice project.

Very nice I agree that the worm holes add to the piece.
