This project is a candle holder that is made from Mesquite. I began turning it realizing it had a couple exposed worm holes. Once I got through the sap wood I realized the worm holes were much deeper than I realized. I went a head and continued and as can be seen from the photos the worm holes give the piece much character. There is one worm hole that is actually a tunned through the piece. This was finished with clear lacquer spray.
