I enjoy doing small stools and boxes with multi-specie tops

I will post some of my favorite ones at a later date.

I really like the multi-species top on the stool and boxes, but since I haven’t used many species of wood can’t identify them all. Would you mind telling me what types of wood you used?

Agree with ed220, way cool ! I’ll be adding this to my favorites so I can remember and build one in the future.

I’ll try, center out Rhodesian teak, maple, purple heart, birds eye maple, ebony, red cedar, maple, mahogany, maple, paduk, maple, walnut, maple and black walnut. Best I can remember.

This how one would look after glue up but before planning.

After planning.

I also use these as trivets.

They all look great, you Magee to use such a wide variety of wood and it looks like they all belong together

I think I may be tempted to use the stool as a cutting board! Very nice work! Thanks for posting!
