Lion cane, two

This did not start out to be a carved cane. The wood I found, I thought would have more contrast to it, but kind of turned out dull. So I switched to make it at least more interesting.

Did the lion head. Then I was going to do a claw and ball type thing, and then the skull appeared. Just let it happen and there you go.

Don’t know the wood. Got it out of a local saw mill scrap pile. They cut, stack outside for three or four years then kiln dry. Gives their wood real character. Never know what they might get rid of. ;)...........

Just spending shop time….......hope you enjoy…........thanks for looking…....................
