I consider myself a weekend sawdust maker, but like to try new things (though i never master 1 before moving on to a new challenge) for this I tried bent lamination. Top rail and drawer fronts are the first attempt. Certainly learned a thing or 2. Well learned may be overstating it because i am sure I will make the same mistakes again. Its made of oak, except for secondary wood which is poplar, including to carved section. The mirror and base are 2 separate pieces to make shipping it to Montana easier.
