I got the idea from skymall catalog. All the wood used on this project was found in the dumpster at work. The spindles were all cut off pieces…with burnt saw marks…..I kinda was too lazy to sand all that off, so i took a torch to it and added a little more burns for some character. polly finish.

Nice concept, I hear you, that’s a lot of sanding, the trick is to take a lot of breaks, it’s what turns my weekend projects into 5-7 day projects. I like the torch idea, that will save much time and accomplish the rustic look all at once. I especially like the top, and you must forgive me, I’m stealing that concept.

I need a ‘Crate’ for Zeffie [our mini Schnauzer] when she is in our motor home. I also need an end table. Gosh! Two problems solved with one very neat piece of furniture/cabinetry.
I hope you feel complimented, as I would like to ‘Steal’ your idea.
