Found some cool pallet wood a while back and stored it away. Found it again and since I like saving money on materials, decided to see if it was as good as it looked under that rough surface.
Turned out pretty good overall. This piece had a knot hole I had to deal with. I decided to go for it and hope the hole wasn’t too bad. Kind of like it now.
Tired of getting on too long of a project right now so I’ve been making some falcon canes with my scrap wood for the handles and some nice maple and walnut I can still come up with for the shafts.
This is the first one. More right behind this.
Thanks for looking….......................

I also think it is beautiful! Your canes are so cool! It is a treat to see what a wonderful second life you gave to this wood. :)

Thanks Roman, It’s really about the wood. I love bringing out its mystery and beauty to see. I just mostly use cane designs to do it. We all have our ways…...........

Some of the wood I give good money for doesn’t look that good. Same as you… I think the ‘knot’ adds a certain character. I like it. A striking cane!!

Thanks Spoon man! I know, when I look at store wood, I rarely find this good of wood and they want a fortune for it. It pays to keep an eye out, we all know that!
