I recently purchased a mint shopsmith, 400 bucks on craigslist, as a Christmas present from my wife. It came with a SS jointer and bandsaw as well. So I figured I would share with you all my first proceeds in woodworking. I have never done fine woodworking until this last Christmas.

Firewood Oak Mallet

Unfinished Oak Frame

Large Cedar Frame (added too many details to the design)

Simple Shoe rack

Thank you all, you are very kind.

I found out after the fact that that minwax tung oil finish is just wiping varnish…I feel taken. But at any rate, I like it, easy to apply, no drips, can’t decide how many coats to do though.
