This is the modified tender car from Norm Marshall’s book “Wooden Toys”, it is made about double size of the one in the book, and I added the wood for burning in the Steam Engine, [which I am hoping to be able to build]. The car is made from Oak and Alder and the “firewood” is from twigs I picked up around our yard.

Hopefully I will be able to make “The General” engine, problem is I don’t have a lathe so am not able to turn the boiler and smoke stack yet, I have a acquaintance who is going to try and turn them for me, I glued up the wood and gave it to him last week….so hopefully I will be able to finish the set.
