Here are some of the Christmas presents I made this past year. They are bottle stoppers, make-up brushes, and ice cream scoops. The bottle stoppers are made from lacewood and rosewood. They are both finished with Target Coatings EM6000. The make-up brushes are made from cherry/walnut and walnut/bloodwood and they are finished with amber shellac. Finally, the ice cream scoops are made from dyed casting resin. I made the blanks myself. They have no finish, I just polished them to a high sheen. All were turned with my Jet 1220 lathe.

They came out really nice, do you need my address so you can send me some of your homemade Christmas gifts next year?

Nice work Alan – I do not turn so I have never tired any of these.
