Square Bowls Square Bowls No-picture-s Click the pictures to enlarge them

These are made from Cherry as well. They were my attempts at truning square bowls.

What I learned? 4 corners flying around at 1000 rpm, a fraction of an inch from my knuckles, really really scares me.

The set of 6 just aint gonna happen.

Cherry, 8”x8”x3”, Watco

Those are pretty cool. I don’t think I have ever seen anything like them before.

Gary,

These are certainly different. I, too, have never seen anything like them. But I agree with you about the danger of it. At 1000 rpm these will act just like a sawblade.

Thanks for the post.

Again, thank you for the wonderful comments. You all got me thinking though….I have some cherry blanks…..you’re comments are making me think I need to do another square bowl, and i kinda want to do a hollow vessel again

Maybe a square hollow vessel??? hummm…
