This was by far the most fun I’ve had with a project. I wanted to build my son something for his birthday and this is what my boss suggested. I thought it was a great idea since I love airplanes. I found some plans online and customized them to my liking. It is made out of pine and has a distressed finish. I can’t wait to see him use it now!

Awesome plane, I bet your son loves it.

I found the plans at
I just used some dimensions from the plans and the basic shape of it and then made it up as I went.

I’ve seen that shelf Rob and actually have it in my favourites for the future. It would fit in the room perfect. Maybe a birthday present for next year?

Have your say...
