Re-purposing an old friend

Now that my office is going to become a nursery I needed to find a way to keep the desk drawers for storage, but get the desk out of the now soon to be nursery.

My charming wife suggested making new tops and using them as side tables in the living room. So thats what I did.

Made from Jatoba (Brazilian Cherry). 3 coats of Shellac.

Is the old friend the white dog or the black one? Looks like our house, lucky to find a seat!
Tables look great in that room, love the wood choice. Always nice to reuse any wood.

Great redo, I really like it if I can make something new out of something old. Looks like the dogs are able to sleep ok.
