My wife wanted a larger recipe box since the one she had was for the 3×5 cards. This one is for the 4×6 and is made of padauk and birch. Finish is General Arm-R-Seal semi-gloss. This was my first attempt a making a small box and found a few new challenges.

Very nice box. You seem to have met all of the challenges. The padauk will darken over time but will still look good against the birch.

This box is very nice and I’m sure that your wife was thrilled with it.

Real nice. I’m feeling like making a box.

Great to have another box maker! Keep makin’ them.
