Curly Cherry Chair

A danish modern chair came into the shop for a repair nd I liked the comfort of it a lot. I mimicked the angles and dimensions of the seat and back, then redesigned the frame for myself…hands down my favorite chair in my house! The sides are bent laminations…each layer tapered 0.5/64” so the legs start at 11/16” and runs to 1-1/8”
I used leather upholstery as an homage to the leather danish modern piece, and it looks really good with the cherry

Your Chair appears to be as comfortable as it is unique. The ability to make a chair like this is a sign of a true craftsman. Thanks for sharing.

Adam, that is a beautiful chair. I like the design with all the curves. You did a fabulous job seamlessly joining up the arm and the backleg. The tapered bent laminations are excellent and the taper legs really add to the deisgn. Thanks for sharing you great chair.
