This is a rolling island with a butcher block top and holds a garbage can. The cabinet is made of 1×2 Poplar. A regular 14 gallon garbage can fits inside. You chop on the plastic cutting board that slides out to brush the waste off directly down to the garbage can or you can open the tilt out door to throw away larger objects. The butcher block top is made of Pine, Poplar, and oak that I had laying around in the shop. Not the best woods for cutting but it was planned that cutting would happen plastic cutting board and the surround is mainly for looks and storing whats going to be cut/ what is already prepped. This was also trying out the new 12” planer.

Nice tight joints and a great grain match. I agree with Jim, unique concept.

Interesting concept no doubt. Nice use of stuff laying around the shop. Well done!

Love it, it’s functional and a cool design. Welcome to LJ’s, very addictive though, trust me.

Good design! That would work outdoors for a fish cleaning station.

Have your say...
