A chalkboard to keep score for darts for my future father in-law. Frame is out of white oak 1×2 from Lowes. I doweled the frame together with 3/8” oak dowels. The frame has a rabbit cut to recess the chalk board found at a craft store. The scroll sawed piece of 1/4” oak ply is backed with more chalk board. Finished with a cherry stain and then shellacked with three coats because it hangs on a wall out doors in the mountains.

Very nice job! I’m sure your f-i-l will appreciate it greatly and you’ll earn points, too!
