Project Information

What could this possibly be? It is my 2 year old granddaughters first wood project. She was sitting at my workbench while I put the finishing touches on a step stool I was building. She picked up some scrap pieces and put this together. She sasy it is "a piece of wood with other wood on it." Aaah, now I see.

The finish she used was several coats of Titebond wood glue. What a treasure.

Absolutely love it! I've got a small piece that my 5 year old cut out on the scroll saw. When I asked him what shape it was, his reply was "it's the shape the wood wanted to go".

From the mouth of babes!

Sharing the shop with grandkids is the best! That's the stuff they remember years from now. :)

Very artistic title on her part. Maybe it will get her started in the wood shop making more projects.

It could have turned out so many ways, I like the dowels in a line like that. So what wood are you going to make the shadow box out of. It needs a home right.

Lumber Jockette in the making. She has style. Nice dowel placement and spacing. The different wood colors make the dowels pop. It is purely ingenious! Wish I could make one so nice.

I was trying to guess what strange tool it was when I saw the picture on the LumberJocks home page… I'm glad I didn't hurt my brain trying to figure it out.

Terrific result for a 2 year old. It is definitely art since it has no utility use.

That is a great project. I thought it was a rudder for a duck though.

With that cute smile, I see a lot of projects in Granpa's future, and if he is lucky, she will even "let Grampa
help me." I have a 6 yr old great grandson who lets me help him in the shop, and it is great. Thank you
for sharing.
