I rough-cut the wood about 3 weeks before I really started on it (had other things to finish up). Once I got going on it, it took about 2 weeks, where most of that time was sanding and finishing. After I glued the panels, all of the dimensioning, surfacing, joinery, dadoes, etc, only took a day.

Looks amazing! Great job.Wooden racks look more traditional and are available in a wide array of finishes: oak, cherry, walnut, mahogany, etc.Find more info here
