This Pyrography measures 18.5” x 13”, and is done on Poplar (I don’t even want to tell you how many hours it took) was fun reliving with her, the stories she told about her childhood.
This was done for a friend depicting what she remembered as her”Homeplace” growing up in Georgia as a child.
She didn’t have any photographs, but did have a computer rendering of the house. Most of the details were improvised using numerous notes.

Hi Doris. Whatever amount of time you took with this, it was worth it! This is really well done with a somewhat romantic style and a massive amount of detail, but more importantly it conveys a nostalgic scene which seems so genuine to me. Your friend must be a lot more than pleased with it.
