My sister designed her railings. We made them out of Redwood and Cedar. Laminated with Gorilla glue…great stuff I must say. She finished them with copper treat and then Tung oil. Design on balusters is from the leaded glass window on the front of her house. Mounted with decorative black wrought iron brackets.

Nice work, the perfect railing for a bungalo style house. I see that she has renters! are the all the original molding still in the house or did they get taken out when they added the second door to the front. Cheers

Very nice railings, Dee2! There are two of them, right?

Very nice, funny how of wood can be transformed into something as beautiful as that.

T D Reid…All wood in house and porch ceilings are still original. Still very well kept.
LittlePaw…......Not 2 sets of railings. 2nd pic is raw and still at our house. Other pics are installed.
Did anyone notice the neighbor’s railings?...............The tubafore design?

Hello, Dee. A belated Welcome to LJs! I love this banister, custom designed for the house. And I noticed the neighbor’s. This one puts theirs to shame. Very nice work!
