This poplar wood birdhouse is the first project with my new CNC machine. The house was a Christmas present for a Methodist minister. The flame (padauk) and cross (walnut) are inset into the roof about a 3/8 inch deep. The front door with padauk trim opens for easy cleanout and is held closed by bent cut nails. If you open it up, there is a Bible verse engraved inside.

The color really pops on this one. I like it.
