This is my first post in a while. This is one of several boxes that I have made to give as gifts to friends and family over the last year. The box is walnut with a splatted maple top. I used 1/2 blind dove tail joints and a dowel pin hinge. The boxes have turned out really nice and have been very appreciated by those I have given them too. This one will be going to my new god daughter next weekend.

thanks for looking

I love to see this kind of post. Your box is crisp and appealing. I really like how the overall combination of contrasting wood and design details, give this box a professional look. Excellent project.
