This was a cabinet I built for my parents when visiting them earlier this month. It’s made of reclaimed white cedar with a walnut top and handle. The cedar was originally a fence from the early 1900s. In the 70s some of the boards were planed and reused as trim and wainscoting for a museum gallery. A few years ago the gallery was remodeled and the boards were going to be thrown away, but my father reclaimed them for his office. Some of the leftover boards were used for this cabinet with walnut as the contrasting wood.
