This is a machinist add-on box for some large mic gauges. The box measures 42” wide by 12” deep and 9” tall. It is made from red oak with a nicely grained white oak drawer front. The knobs are also white oak that was turned on the lathe. The drawer is maple with a lined bottom and tool rests. The band-aid on the front is walnut to patch a small knot crack. (as seen in last pic) The finish is Minwax stain with 3 coats of poly…..

Great looking add on, nice case for some probably very spendy mics, great build, nice patch.

Man oh man nice tool box you have there. Do you always were bowties on your drawers? That dutchman should help stop that crack from ever spreading. Nice job.
Now are the tools in this box yours? That has to be the mother of all mic gauges.
Nice finish to.

Thanks for the comments…..

@Dave – Just took a drink as I read your comment. Now I have to dry my keyboard off. The box is for my Brother, the gauges are his…..

That’s a real nice box; I wish I had some nice wooden boxes like that for some of my machinist tools. Kennedy boxes are great but theirs just something about wood done rightly that makes a world of difference. Congratulations.
