This is the commisioned box I made to hold 8 wrist watches.
It is bloodwood with a triptych panel of figuerd western maple bordered with wenge.
The splines are wenge and maple.
The handle is black palm.
The dividers are maple with leopard wood caps.
The finish is lacquer.
The bottom is lined with black suedecloth.

Go here to read the blog on its build and all the problems along the way.

andy,

I believe your finished piece is evidence of your creativity, problem solving, understanding of materials and tools, colors forms and shapes. You have integrated different forms visual movement and color to produce a place of honor for the watches.

My wife gave me a bunch of watches in a case. simple black manufactured, and it holds all the watches I never wear.

I believe this will hold watches that are worn . LOL

I am in awe of the master!
