This box was made months ago and i did not add it to this site because the recipiant checks the projects that i put on. Since it was a christmas gift i guess its ok to put on here now. The sides are made of butternut, the top is made of red oak, the mouldings are made of maple and the handle from yellow birch. I got the shape in it by using a chainsaw then a grinder i hope everyone enjoys, and keep on creating.

I love unique and this qualifies for unique for sure! Anything out of the ordinary makes it most interesting to view.

That is a really cool box. I like the way you have carved it. The horizontal banding at the bottom is a nice touch, as is the three diagonal cuts along the bottom.
