Desk Clock

I’ve had a design in mind for a desk clock for awhile now and finally made it.
It’s inspired by 1930’s Art Deco.
It’s made out of Santa Maria and Maple.
I drilled a through hole in order to push the clock movement out when it’s time to change the battery or set the time. No need to pry it from the front risking a scratch to the finish.
This is my first piece I was able to use my Branding iron on to sign it.
The finish is three coats of waterbase poly gloss.

Thanks for looking…

Nice job Plantek, looks great and the hole to remove is a good idea no doubt. The finish on this looks great as well.

Hope all is well, talk to you soon.

Thanks Jim.
I got the movement from Woodcraft. They have many styles/sizes available.
I have not seen a Eclipse clock. Sounds interesting…
