This is made from Birch crate lumber. I made this for my Sweetie quite awhile ago, I never had a chance to put a finish on it, because she was so anxious to use it. Someday I’ll have to sneak it away from her, & finish it.

Dick,
It might be interesting to see a quick step-by-step on your carving process. I don’t want to call it simple, because that implies a lack of skill, but if you were to demo with something like the rose, that would be really great. (I think you’d just make it LOOK simple.)
Or maybe you could just give a description of your process? I’m just getting into carving, with both power tools and hand tools, and it always helps to hear the techniques of others.

Dick you gotta give me some lessons..I still have to think very hard to remember our anniversery, but I finally remember, thanks to my lovely daughter.,,,mike.
