My WIFE decided we need a picnic table. Since nearly all of us are over 6 feet, I wanted to build a table that we did not smash our knees on getting down on or up from. This what I came up with. 8ft. long , 3ft. wide and 3 ft. tall. The seat height is 17 1/2 in. Finally a picnic table my knees stand a chance on.

6’8”...........I know the feeling. This looks great. I’m a little concerned about the “shin buster” center stretcher. It appears in pictures #3 & 4 but I don’t see it in the first two.

The center beam is actually 23 in. from the seat edge. Gives plenty of room for the legs underneath.
