Best part of this site is the inspiration gathering from other poster’s projects. Tried out a chisel plane, hickory with a strip of maple at the bottom. Added a threaded cross dowel and quarter inch set screw just to keep it snug along with the wedge. Probably overkill. Works bevel up or down, I like it bevel up. 2 coats of BLO and a small brand mark of my initials.

Really nice.
I think the idea of a threaded cross dowel is exelent, but would put is as close to the cutting edge as possible. I will keep this idea in mind – clever!
