This is a shelf made out of left over wood from several projects. 12” deep x 7” tall x 11’ long. It is built up out of 5 pieces of pine over a plywood box core.
Crown is left over 5-1/4” pine that was custom milled for a house remodel from long ago. I like the large coves.
The shelf is cleated and lag screwed into wall studs.
It is finished with a dark stain to match a old bookcase that I liked. This is just for my workshop and I wanted to try a very dark stain.

It hangs on the wall above my miter saw, finally got the old tool collection out of storage!

Old Tools out of Storage? Those look like my users! Ack!

It is a really cool shelf, too… :-)

Sweet shelf! I really like the boxy look. Hopefully you can put the tools to good use now that they’re easily accessible. :-)

Wowee! It would make a pretty neat fireplace mantle too.

You must be tall. That shelf is high up.

Ha, the shelf is mainly for display. I can reach it at 8’ but it is a stretch. I don’t use the old tools that much, especially the Stanley 55, it’s a pain to set up, probably the reason there are so many of them in flea markets in perfect condition.
