This is a a kids table and chairs that I found in the trash, I had to repair glue must of the legs back together, the finish was shot on it so I scraped the top and sanded all the legs lightly, glazed the chairs and the base and crackle painted the top then I did some stencil and some free hand painting on it, then when over the top with a few coats of poly. My daughter loves the way it looks and the grandsons love to use it.

Nice job – the table and chairs look great, AND you rescued some wood for the dump. I bet the kid do enjoy it – really nice little set.

Great save!

I love doing what you’ve done and putting something back into use that was destined for the landfill.

I could have created a set of six dining chairs (not high quality and mismatched, I’m sure), if I had stopped and picked up every broken dining room chair I’ve seen along the curb over just the past two weeks.

Nice! It’s great when you can save things.

My wive hates it when I go dumpster diving, but usually likes the end results. I been wanting to do some vineger painting so I will searching out some small projects in the trash or on freecycle to practice on.

Great Save. Looks really good finished up like that.

Freecycle, now that is the way to be able to get your supplies. I just got a ton of wood from someone.
