Ok, this is MY post (wife, Jan). Dave doesn’t think these are any big deal, but I love them. I use these little acorns and oak leaves in arrangements with, (dare I say it in Lumberjocks?) potpourri. Oooh, I felt the cringe all the way out here! But the oak leaves are fun. Drawn from leaves from our pin oak tree, made of oak and then (watch your fingers!) sanded just so to make the wavy 3D look. m The acorns are just turned oak with the tops stained dark and a dremel tool is used to make the cuts in the “caps” of the acorns. Show this to your wives, guys…bet they’ll like ‘em too!

I have been wanting to make a cookie jar but never seen I I liked. Now I have. You was very brave to say the P word here. like the leaves. Is there a leaf used for the handle. I can not tell by the picture.

The top is actually just a hunk of grapevine. Hadn’t made any leaves when this was first turned, but that would be a good idea! But don’t tell my wife, or she’ll want her top changed!

the acorns would make great canisters. glue a leaf on top for a handle, then a couple leaves on the side as an outlay.
