I have been meaning to make a plane adjusting mallet for some time now, but never seem to get around to it. The other day I was at the supermarket and saw a meat tenderizer made of beech. It only cost £2.50 so I bought it. I cut the end off, plugged the hole and filed it to mirror the other face of the mallet. Gave it a coat of BLO and called it done. Total time: 15 minutes.
You can read a more humorous account of this project on my blog.
Thanks for looking.
