‘Sunshine on My Shoulder’ was taken from the old John Denver song. It is carve out of a piece of wild apple wood and the sun is 18k gold paint’.

‘Attachment’ is carved in cedar, using the sapwood for the handle and heartwood for the bowl… which has a bit of figure to the wood. Pic below.

‘Roman’s Wood’ is carved from a piece of unknown wood which Roman Hyrstak sent to me. Photo doesn’t do justice to the weathered texture on the handle. I will try to show that below.

‘Half and Half’ is also carved from the cedar sapwood and heartwood. Definitely a left handed spoon.

‘3 Minus 1’ was a sort of accident. Been having a lot of those lately… details later. It did have three ‘nodes’ that looked really nice together but the heavy handed maker snapped off the last one. Hence the short spoon.

‘Stickman’ is out of walnut.

I’ve got some others made for the upcoming art festival but will have to upload later on.

As always, thanks for having a look.

Roman’s wood is entirely out of control. Spectacular. That short birds eye (?) one is ridiculous as well. Very, very nice.

You make driftwood look beautiful! From a distance the spoon looks like it has a tattoo. Nice spoons, as usual. RH

What a great collection. I’m very much inspired to pick up a hook knife and start whittling away.
