Mother and child was my sister-in-law’s old high chair that she didn’t want, so I returned it to her since my husband was cleaning the attic out. I did save the original manufacturer’s sticker on the back of a piece. The backboard was cut out to reveal the sticker.
Colored the poplar water on the otter with blue food coloring, finished in gloss finish to make it more realistic.
While I’m on the subject of coloring wood. I realized while cooking, Turmeric (a spice) will stain a porous surface!!! Then I went to the garage and it worked perfectly on any light wood. Just dampen the sanded wood, sprinkle with Turmeric, rub it in. Let dry and then wipe off and sand with the BACK, paper side of a piece of sandpaper. I’ve used this many times when I’m running short on wood for eagle beaks!!
