Cherry jewelry box

This jewelry box is made of cherry. The inside is lined with green flocking. All of the parts were made with traditional woodworking tools and the decorative carvings were done with a CNC router. The design was inspired by a famous chip carver, Wayne Barton. You might notice that there is more than one version pictured, I’ve made two of these.

That is really beautiful!
The woven sides are gorgeous!

What CNC did you use, and do you have the cut files available!

Mr. Oldnovice,

thanks for the response. My CNC is a Shopbot. The software I use is V-Carve Pro from Vectric.com.
You would need to have their software to run the files. They also provide a monthly free project. One of them is the “Paradise Box” which is very similar to my box. Their plans include much more information on building the projects than I could. I’d be happy to answer any questions.
This is a link to their free projects page.
